My family and I are experienced campers and campervan owners, and we were delighted with the service we received from Flamenco Campers.
The lovely Gonzalo, Carolina and Turko helped make our stay in Andalucía an absolute pleasure. We were collected from the airport bang on time in what I can describe as the most perfect example of a VW Type 2 Bus I have ever seen. Internally and externally it was faultless in its original vintage style and condition. In fact there wasn’t a spot of rust on any of it! Getting a ride in this was alone enough to make the whole trip worthwhile.
We stayed for a week in Lola, a lovely example of the Westfalia VW conversion, which is both clever and efficient with room for 2 adults and 2 children. Lola herself is a VW T4 2.5 high top campervan that was such an easy and powerful vehicle to use it felt like we were driving a car. In fact we couldn’t fault the campervan at all, which was a joy to use.
After a briefing from Gonzalo and Carolina about how to use the campervan and the places we should visit while we were there, we were off on our adventure that was to take us along almost 2,000 kilometres of Spanish roads, up mountains, through National Parks, along beaches, deep into towns and cities, and to campsites, where we met many new friends and admirers of the van.
Even the October weather didn’t let us down, which at times was hotter than the best of British summers. It was an amazing adventure that opened our eyes to how beautiful and vibrant Andalucía and its people are, and I can’t wait to visit it again.
