My wife and I had the pleasure to take a “no-kids“ trip through Andalucía in October 2015.
We flew to Malaga with Ryanair and Gonzalo picked us up at the airport. When we arrived at Flamenco Campers headquarters, we got a solid introduction to our VW T4 California Exclusive named LOLA which we had chosen because it is not only almost as compact as a regular full-size car but does offer a bathroom in the back with sink and toilet.
With LOLA, we hoped for adventure and independence from having to find a campsite every night.
This was the route we took:
Malaga > Marbella > Ronda > Tarifa > Bolonia > Zahara de los Atunes > Vejer de laFrontera > Cadiz > Rota > Jerez de la Frontera > Arcos de la Frontera > Palma del Rio > Cordoba > Baena > Granada > Pampaneira > Nerja > Torre del Mar > Malaga.
We highly recommend our favourites Camping El Sur, Camping Tarfia and Camping Las Lomas. We were very impressed by the variety and diversity we encountered in Andalucía. From the wild ocean in Tarifa to the lovely mountain villages in the Sierra Nevada plus vibrant culture rich cities such as Cordoba and Granada we got almost overwhelmed with everything we discovered. And we should mention great food and very friendly people we met on our trip.
We had an amazing time and renting from Flamenco Campers not only means renting a camper with a name but with a lot of character as well!. And Gonzalo will not only make you feel very welcome but will give you as much advice as you could possibly need to enjoy you stay in Andalucía.
There are so many places we did not go and so many things we did not do – so for us, one thing is for sure: We will be back!
